Hi there! I’m Amanda, and my lovely journey in childcare started over 15 years ago when I met Rachel. Since then, I’ve cherished every moment with children, witnessing their imaginations take flight and knowing I’m making a positive impact in their lives.
After spending over 12 years as a childminder and raising my two little ones, branching out to create our own hive has been such a wonderful adventure.
I feel so lucky to work with such amazing staff and to see how our setting has blossomed, bringing joy and growth to the little ones we care for each day.
Hello, I'm Rachel, one of the four owners of The Bee Hive Day Nursery.
A little about me—I’m a mum to four wonderful children: three boys and a girl, aged
15 to 1. Life can be hectic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I've been working with children since I left school, which was quite a few years ago! I
hold a Level 3 qualification and have spent the past 21 years in various roles,
including management positions in creches, work in mobile settings, a women's
refuge, day nurseries, and private schools.
For the last 12 years, I ran a childminding business with Amanda, another owner.
Owning my own nursery has always been a dream of mine, and I am truly proud to
be part of our little family hive here at The Bee Hive.
Hi I am Jen, Deputy Manager and Deputy Safeguarding Lead here at The Beehive Day Nursery. You will find me here 4 days a week Monday to Thursday.

I am focused on ensuring your child’s needs and safety are a priority, encouraging their individual growth in line with what they can do and exploring and learning alongside them.
With a passion for the outdoors I can assure you that we (the team) will seek every opportunity to get out into the wild and our amazing garden in all weathers to explore the treasures of the natural world around them. Your child's day will be filled with fun, excitement and new adventures.
It is exciting and a privilege to be a part of your child's journey here at The Beehive where they are going to thrive in our Hive and we are going help them build confidence, resilience, self esteem and support them to become the best they can be whilst having bundles of fun.
I am also here for you as parents and carers, my door is always open, for a chat, support and or advice. I am passionate about our Ethos and ensuring our Homely, safe and nurturing environment includes you.
Hi! My name is Hannah, and I work in the baby room here at the Beehive.
I first began working in early years 10 years ago, at the age of 16. Over the course of my career so far, I have worked from a level 2 apprentice to a level 6 practitioner, as well as completed ongoing training throughout.
I knew I loved and wanted to work with children from a young age- it was rare as a little girl myself I’d be seen without my dollies; feeding, cuddling and dressing them!
My favourite part of working in early years is creating safe, loving, ‘home away from home’ environments for the children in my care to feel as comfortable and settled as possible.
I can’t wait to meet all my lovely babies, and I look forward to getting to know you and your families x
My name is Sarah Dewse, I am a very proud mum to 3 daughters. I am at my happiest whilst watching and helping nurture children to grow, develop and learn lifelong skills in play.
I already have the experience with working alongside children and parents in various job roles that I have held, I have good knowledge of Early Years and Pre-School, along with extremely important life skills that have been developed along my career life. Within my Nursery Practitioner roles, I have awareness and certified courses for Safeguarding and other important achievements which bare relevance to my role. Throughout my extensive career working with families and children of various ages I have held posts of Mother help, Nanny, Childminder, Nursery Supervisor and Practitioner.
Day to day being able to help provide and give children and parents skills to work on building a positive relationship with their child and their community is of great importance, and is a great skill which I believe I hold as part of our team. I love to bring positivity and collaborative help to children and parents. I am sure that in the time that you get to know me you will see my love for my role shine through. I look forward to meeting you all and building a great relationship with your families.
Hi, I’m Clare I have worked with, and or cared for children all of my adult life.
It began with babysitting when young and I soon became the street babysitter and I was always found with a flock of children around me!
I first gained my qualifications at 18, studying childcare, management and counselling, bringing now nearly 30 years of childcare experience into my new role. I have worked from nursery practitioner to room lead and nursery manager within previous roles, as well as supporting children and families within social care and the community and daycare provisions, gaining valuable skills and experience.
I hope to bring the skills I have learnt along the way to my role at The Bee Hive, helping your children to grow and develop their unique personalities.
I am also mum to 3 wonderful children and now Nana to my gorgeous granddaughter, too whom I am privileged to have such a wonderful part in her life.
I love nothing better than getting to down on the floor and interacting with her and any children in my care and helping to nurture their natural curiosity of the world.
I have a particular interest and skills and awareness in special Educational Needs (SEN), in particular Autism Spectrum conditions and sensory processing awareness as a parent/aunt/cousin of family members with these conditions. It is my passion to bring inclusivity in to every area of life.
I hope to bring fun, care and compassion to my role at The Bee Hive, and ensure all children in my care thrive and are nurtured to develop to their maximum potential. I can not wait to meet all of our little bees and their families and enjoy buzzing around the hive with them all.

Hello I’m Ashleigh,
I have been working in the childcare industry for 12 years now and each day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of children, helping them grow, learn, and discover the world around them. The joy of watching a child achieve a milestone or simply share a laugh is incredibly fulfilling. I cherish the relationships I build with both the children and their families, knowing that I play a part in their development and happiness. It's a rewarding journey that continually inspires me to be the best caregiver I can be. I started working with children at 17 years old doing an apprenticeship to now having my level 3.
I also a proud mummy to an 11-month-old and a 6-year-old, and I love and adore them both so much. Each day is filled with laughter and joy as I watch them grow and learn.
I can’t wait to meet all our lovely families here at the bee hive.
